
- DMX pleaded not guilty yesterday in a Phoenix courthouse to felony theft charges after using a fake name to try avoid paying for medical treatment. Outside of court, DMX treated reporters to an impromptu rap.
- Former Smashing Pumpkins James Iha and D’Arcy Wretzky-Brown are suing their old label Virgin Records, saying they’re owed money from ringtone sales and other electronic transmissions.
- Several senators introduced the “Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights Act of 2008″ to Congress yesterday. The bill would better protect civil copyright laws and coordinate stronger action against piracy.
- T.I. has pushed back his upcoming album Paper Trail again, moving from September 9th to September 30th. In the meantime, he’ll shoot a video for first single “Whatever You Like.”
