i love this magazine and when i saw the cover for the next one i literally screamed.

The Jonas Brothers are an up and coming eccentric band of well-grounded individuals. They have their own style and their own personality. They know what they want and they’re not afraid to go after it. Their music is a refreshing blend of rock and roll and the upbeat sounds of today, without all the meaningless lyrics and unnecessary blurbs of sexual innuendo’s. It’s not often that a talented group of guys (brothers none the less) get the shot at making it big time. They’ve taken that chance and done something real with it. And in no way are they ready to stop what they’re doing.

the jonas brothers may not be the most rock & roll band ever, but they are talented. they play there own instruments and write there own songs. so i know there are going to be some people who diss them just because they are pop and with the disney channel. but just remember they are a step up from some rap and other artists that rolling stone has featured. remember the zac efron cover? c’mon at least they sing right?!

What’s the deal with the Jonas-bashing? I’m glad they made the cover of RS, and apparently, judging by their excitement, they are too! Good for Rolling Stone to not only attract younger readers to the magazine, but alert older ones and parents as well to the interests of today’s teenagers and pre-teens.

And I just read a comment by someone who had never, along with “80% of music fans,” as they commented, listened to these boys, and then proceeded to list the reasons why they hated them. How about we give ‘em a listen next time before we do judge the book (or in this case, magazine) by its cover?

And I don’t understand the reason why so many people hate them. Is it because Disney backs the boys? They’ve got more talent and levelheadedness than a lot of celebs these days, and thank GOD for allowing Disney–and now Rolling Stone–to recognize that.

I have to say thanks to you RS for this article. As a parent to a pre-teen daughter, you can be sure that I have heard of these young men. And I have to say that I completely approve of them. It is about time that someone sings something that is not belittling to our young ladies. We want our girls to be respected, and grow up properly, yet all they hear in lyrics these days is how they are disrespected. How can we expect them to know how to be treated if all they hear is how be degraded, lied to and cheated on. Come on Moms and Dads. It is time that we took our kids back. And stop letting society tell them it is ok to be trashy. Thank you to the Jonas Bros for having the God given knowledge to step out with something different. Well, I think this cover shot is really incredible. The true fans have been with this awesome threesome since day one and this cover really highlights their maturity. I am ususally seeing pictures of them jumping around and acting like little kids but them on this cover they look like men. A look I will admitley say I love! Look I’m a girl just like the majority of the people who have posted comments here, but I do have to agree with Jughead. I’m a teenager (although not one who is younger than 16) and I have NO intrest in the Jonas Brothers. What all you girls (or boys) need to realize is that Rolling Stone Magazine is always meant to have real bands who are not always in sync with audience the Jonas Brothers recieve. I personally can’t stand that good bands like Arcitc Monkeys, Crystal Castles, The Horrors, or any other band that doesn’t get attention is ignored. And no its not because they are horrible bands so you obviously can’t make that arguement. Don’t get me wrong I would never try to insult these guys or their fans. Its just not at all my taste.
But do this favor when you open up that magazine, read the rest of the articles. Maybe you’ll get to learn something about the original punk bands (NO GREEN DAY) or hear something about Radiohead or some other great band. You’ll probably realize what you have been missing and understand why Jonas Brothers don’t fit in with that world.

Im 13, I really like the cover flow. the jonas brothers are my favorite, and i’m going to go by the magazine tomorow just because they are on it. they are best boy band to ever come along i think, they are my favorite, i’ve been to one of there concerts and seeing them in person made me like them even more, they are the most kind,sweet,compasonite, people ever. and they have there head on straight they don’t do drugs or drink, and don’t plan on having that in there future, and that makes me very happy, i like people like that!

I’m not going to trash the Jonas Brother’s. I don’t like their music, but that’s just becuase i have different musical taste, not because I don’t like them as people, I don’t know them. All I am going to say is I don’t agree with them making the cover. Not because I don’t like their music, but because the Rolling Stones Magazine is supposed to be for artists and bands who say no to mainstream pop culture. I think it was a good choice to put bands like Fall Out Boy and Panic! at the disco on the cover because they are examples of successful bands of the moment on the alternative music scene. The Jonas brothers are good if you are into that type of music, but, in my opinion, they are not RS material.

Im actually suprised with all the support the Jonas Brothers are getting from not only fans but from parents as well.
I love Jonas Brothers, for music and talent, not just looks. I’ve been with them since the beginning and when I saw this cover, tears started welling up as I realized how much they’ve grown and how they’ve influenced, not only mine, but many other lives. They are truly amazing.

I think it is a big accompishment for the Jonas Brothers to be put on the cover of a major music magazine. They have done such an amazing job whin the last year with the album, Camp Rock, and the tour. I think it was a great idea to put them on the cover of the magazine becuase they are the true face of Pop Music. Does anyone else find it extremely distasteful that video footage of Nick Jonas inserting the cannulus of his insulin pump is being shown during a concert to elicit screams out of tween-aged girls? My wife has had Type 1 diabetes for 26 years. She uses an insulin pump. She thinks using his disease for sympathy and publicity is truly awful. The girls who scream could care less about the illness. They’re squealing at the bit of skin they’re seeing! WTF,People? This is insane! Can you imagine watching Sammy Davis Jr. in his day singing “Candy Man” while behind him runs film of him in the toilet putting his eye in?!!!

Type 1 diabetes is a freakin’ serious disease! My wife is only 30, and this beautiful woman is almost blind, and has stage 4 kidney disease. Yet, she doesn’t shout it from the rooftops for sympathy. She goes about her business working full time and helping raise our son. Using diabetes as hype for your boy band is just plain sick!

BTW Jonas Bros. You are not The Beatles. You’ll never be The Beatles. You wouldn’t BE if not for The Beatles. The Beatles are one of the standards of Rock! You are Disney Pop. You have as much to do with rock as a cheese blintz!

That’s not right people to judge them based on the fact that they are a part of Disney alone. Yes, i get that they are but they are their own band. They make their own music, play their own instruments, and write their own songs. Even if you don’t want to recognize it, these boys do have talent. And A LOT of it. Their music is not just Disney pop, it actually has more of a mature sound and meaning. A lot of people love these boys so just keep the hate to yourself.

People who say that the Jonas Brothers are fake and that they’re just a “Disney Channel Band” are wrong. The Jonas Brothers were a band before they hit Disney Channel, Disney only put their music out there and the fans responded. Also, if you think that people only like them because they’re hot, you’re wrong. There are many fans out there, like myself, whose heard the jonas Brothers on the radio and had no idea what they looked like but loved their songs anyway. I did and still do love the Jonas Brothers because of the music they make and the lyrics of their songs. I like how they’re down to earth and their music gives us an insight into not only what they’re going through but what a lot of other kids they’re age are going through. I think Rolling Stones put them on the cover not for more “sales”; the sell more than enough issues without the Jonas Brothers, but because they realize that the Jonas Brothers are more than what you see on Disney Channel and if you decide you can’t listen to them or don’t like them because of that, then you’re missing out on some really amazing music.

Mother of 3 two daughters who LOVE the JB my son likes the music but of course wont confess to it. I think they are fantastic and awesome. I like their music because they have me listening and watching the videos and all my kids watch Disney so Camp rock was a huge deal like HSM. I dont want them to change and love who they are. JB have make great music and they have great values that is rare to see in the younger generation nowadays. Their parents are a great part of that. JB are good role models for their generation. I don’t believe that they’ll only be the taste of the moment. They talk about what they went thru and still going thru. Some have diaries, JB have their music and it’s OK like that.

I came across their 2 last albums and can’t stop listening to it. It doesn’t matter how old you are, you can still like their music. I wouldn’t cry or freak if I’d see them, but it’d be happy to meet them to tell them how much I appreciate the change of mind and values they bring.

We all have, or had, our favorite band at some point and it doesn’t mean that they were all showing good values. Maybe our parents didn’t approve our choice either. So to all the people out there who thinks JB is just “teeny-bop” band, well just don’t bother and listen to something else.

I’m an old-head and remember when I was obssessed with Michael Jackson, New Kids on the Block, New Edition, H-town, Bobby Brown, Boyz to Men, the Monkees in syndication (I know!) with the same fervor as these pre-teen and teen fans.

I wouldn’t buy a CD of the Jonas Brothers music, but not because it’s not good music,(although “Love Bug” or whatever it’s called is pretty catchy), the music is just not my style and I’m not 13.

People who are bashing them – leave them alone, they are just kids and their music doesn’t sound terrible. I’ve heard adult contemporary music and “adult” rock music that sounds drug-induced and just awful.

As a formerly obssessed fan, the only advice I’d give these girls is don’t spend your allowance or the money you earn from working making the Jonas Brothers even wealthier than they are.

Also don’t psyhce yourself into believing they are perfect, they have well-paid public relations professionals who advise them on what to say and what not to say.

Listen carefully as to how they speak of you fans. They speak more of appreciating your support and how “eccentric” you are. Not how hot their fans look and which fan they dated last week.

They seem like nice kids and their parents and Christian values keep them in check but what you see is not always what you get. Don’t memorize their favorite color, favorite underwear, favorite pizza, etc. at the expense of your education and don’t spend all your money in the mall for clothes to dress up in for their concerts, knowing you’ll be sitting in the nose-bleeds and Joe Jonas can’t see your new top.

I have a pile of New Kids on the Block stuff I bought thinking I’d meet them or marry them and all the while they dated women who were THEIR AGE or who were in the entertainment industry or who looked less like me and more like a print-catalog model.

Buy only a few things, girls, and cap yourself. Focus more on their music and less on their personal lives, which won’t involve you – trust me, then you won’t get depressed once they start dating actresses. With the exception of Marlon Jackson (Michael Jackson’s brother), I don’t know of any singer who just up and married a fan.

Save and invest your money for college, starting your own business (the Jonas brothers have their own businesses), a car or whatever.

But please, take it from me, get a grip. In five years to ten years, you’ll be bored with them anyways, which is normal and natural.

I understand the Jonas Brothers first pipped up like a pimple on the ass in 2005. That’s 3 going on 4 years.

The Beatles came out in 1963 (UK), 1964 (US). Now think of how many times the Beatles musical styles and image changed between 1964 and 1968.

Face it power cords and love lyrics are dominating the airwaves and just because these guys are good at it that does not make them any less of a person so just thought I should let you know all your so called “real punk rock” bands out there are just pop bands with unnecesary swearing in their lyrics.
