Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood Enters Rehab

7/16/08, 2:35 pm EST

The Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood has reportedly entered rehab for a drinking problem. “Following Ronnie’s continued battle with alcohol he has entered a period of rehab,” Wood’s spokeswoman said. “His close family and friends say he is seeking help and look forward to his recovery.” Wood’s struggle with substance abuse has been well-documented; one time, his drug use was so bad that Keith Richards (of all people) had to persuade Wood to get sober, sometimes using a knife or gun. Wood also admitted last year that his wife and Mick Jagger recommended he enter rehab prior to the Stones’ 2002 tour.

Britney Spears isn’t struggling with a substance addiction. She is struggling with stupidity. No comparison.

btw, Its his battle and he put himself there to begin with. No crocodile tears here for him. Good for him if he kicks it. If not… oh well.

Alcohol is a bitch: plentiful, cheap and comercially endorsed by virtually all corporate concerns in the US/UK/Euro. I hope that he sets a power of example to those who struggle with those overwhelming odds. After all, relapse is part of recovery…GOOD LUCK MATE!

How many supportive comments did Britney Spears get? Oh, that’s right, Ron Wood is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member in a legendary band, so it’s OK.

‘Roger That’ Chris, if Keith Richards is “The Pot” and he’s saying to you “Hey, Kettle, YOU’RE BLACK!!!” it’s pretty safe to assume that you may wanna consider one of those infamous celebrity stints in rehab……

More power to him!! It’s not easy to admit you have a problem like this and acknowledge that you need help, it’s nothing to be ashamed of! Go Ronnie!
