News Ticker: Barenaked Ladies, Andre 3000, Fake David Lee Roth

  • Barenaked Ladies frontman Steve Page was arrested and charged with felony fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police allegedly saw Page and a friend doing a large amount of cocaine.
  • Former Mighty Mighty Bosstones guitarist Nate Albert was named VP of A&R at Universal Republic Records. Besides being a Bosstone, Albert also spent time as an artist manager and A&R consultant.
  • Outkast’s Andre 3000, Kanye West and Fonzworth Bentley form the trio Cool Outrageous Lovers of Uniquely Raw Style in this video for the song “Everybody.”
  • The man who has been masquerading around Ontario pretending to be David Lee Roth has been uncovered. Toronto police have identified him as David Kuntz.

Steven Page did not quit the Barenaked Ladies. Go ask their manager or the remaining members why they’re lying about it. He was a bastard to be business partners with over the past 20 years. His behaviour ranged from hooking up with women at every stop (while married with children), abandoning his children, and suffering from a depression that caused bouts of drug use, binge eating, and other self-destructive behaviours.
