
- Ludacris has signed a multi-million dollar deal with AT&T to become their new spokesperson. The rapper will appear in commercials for the phone company starting next month.
- Having left their major label contract, Secret Machines will go the self-release route for their still-untitled third album, due out in the fall. The band will be working in collaboration with World’s Fair Label Group.
- The National are showing their support for RS cover boy Barack Obama by designing a T-shirt combining Obama’s portrait with their song “Mr. November.” The band will donate all profits from the shirts to the candidate’s campaign.
- Ronnie Spector and members of the Crystals, Bobbie Soxx and Blue Jeans are all seeking unpaid royalties from famed producer and murder suspect Phil Spector.
