Bad Company to Reunite for One-Night-Only Concert

7/2/08, 2:50 pm EST

Three original members of 70s supergroup Bad Company are reuniting for a one-off concert at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida on August 8th. The performance marks the first time band members Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke have performed together as Bad Company since 1999. The band’s founding bassist, Boz Burrell, passed away in 2006. Rodgers has since gone in to become the lead singer of Queen. No reason was given as to why Bad Company are reuniting, but the band promises the performance will be one-night-only.

Luckiest Girl Alive! I have tickets for the reunion show. To say i cant wait to see the original Bad Co with Paul, Mick and Simon is like sayin butter goes good on grits. Duh! I also saw Brian Howe tour as Bad Co last year and wondered how he could use the name. Paul Rodgers is the only one that can do the songs justice. I will be cheerin them on the whole time, thanks to Bad Co for bringing this specail show to So FL, We are ready to ROCK STEADY!!!

This concert is to protect the name Bad Company and from others like Brian Howe from using it while he tours .I can understand Paul
Rodgers point of view but to deny fans from seeing both singers together is a shame . Both eras should be celebrated together since without Brian Howe no one would care about Bad Company today

Its all about the trademark protection. Trademarks are protected by active use– i.e. if they dont use it once in a while, other people can tour under the name Bad Company.

Rodgers gave a recent interview talking about it.

Queen’s not Queen without Freddie Mercury. They should’ve retired the name.

Who’s in that pic? Is that Paul Rodgers?! I think that’s the awesomest rock picture I’ve ever seen.
