Amy Winehouse was the star of this weekend’s Glastonbury festival, and it wasn’t because of anything she did on stage. After getting lowered down into the security pit between the crowd and the stage for a more intimate performance of “Mr. Jones” and “Rehab,” video shows the singer punched a man in the front of the crowd before being swarmed by security guards. Following Winehouse’s set, it was revealed that the man actually groped Winehouse while she performed close to the crowd, resulting in Winehouse’s swift right hook. No charges will be pressed against the singer. Winehouse also lost a fan in Kanye West after calling the rapper a “cunt.” After praising Jay-Z, who headlined the fest, Winehouse said “Imagine if it was a cunt like Kanye West. ‘Cunts like Kanye.’ That should be his next album title.” Kanye responded quickly via his blog, referring to the singer as “Whinehouse.”
Speaking of Jay-Z, in an obvious response to Oasis‘ Noel Gallagher’s comments questioning the rapper’s presence at a “rock festival,” Hova took to the stage with a guitar strapped around his chest and led the crowd in a sing-along version of the Oasis’ “Wonderwall” before launching into “99 Problems” and a hits-filled set.
