i’m not even that big of a fan of guns n roses but..damn..the new stuff is very good…a lot better that the crap velvet revolver has been playing…slash has no more feeling in his guitar solos…axl may be crazy as hell but it’s almost in a genius way… screw your old fans that are mad ..they want the same old 80’s sound…chinese democracy is something different and Better.

its not if his music is better then what he made in the past with the oldline up. The question is will his album be better then what is out now.

Xiomara | 6/29/2008, 5:54 pm EST

he needs Slash and the rest of the gang back so they can be an actual legend again. I love that band to pieces!

“Axl is a DOA? No quality work? 90 million in album sales say otherwise.”

What has he done since 1994? Released one track on the end of days soundtrack. WHat did he say he was going to do? Release Chinese Democracy. That was 14 years ago. There’s always some excuse as to why the album is not completed or why it hasn’t been released yet. There is no credibility. As far as quality goes, Apetite For Destruction was excellent whereas the others had good moments but alot of filler (ie Use your Illusion I and II) and ended the gnr era with a zero quality covers album. Since then, he has only released one track “oh my god” on the end of days soundtrack and it was horrible. The leaks of unfinished Chinese democracy songs don’t count as official releases but if they were officially released, they’d still be mediocre at best. So that is why i say he has NO credibility and NO quality. ANy sense of quality in his music ended when gnr died. All axl owns is the right the gnr name but as we’ve seen he is not the true talent in the band. If he was, he’d be releasing albums (several by now) and we’d be a force to be reckoned with instead of the punchline that he’s become.

axl is doa. No credibility or quality work.

P.S.

How does Prostitute (Song #2) sound even remotely like Civil War?

How does Rhiad sound like You Could Be Mine other than being in the same key?

Please advise. Thanks.

Rolling Stone actually takes this guy at his word that these tracks are “What was handed in to the label”?

Right. Because after $15 million and 13 years of work, Axl is going to hand in 9 tracks that all start at the 0:06 mark.

Can’t the most respected music publication in the world recognize this is not a mastered recording?

Sheesh.
