Britney Spears Back in the Studio, Says Producer

6/20/08, 1:55 pm EST

Britney Spears is working on a new album, according to Jim Beanz, a vocal producer who’s a frequent Timbaland collaborator and worked on several of Spears’ Blackout tracks. “Everyone has personal stuff, but a true professional doesn’t bring it into the studio,” Beanz, who says he’s working with Britney again, tells Us, adding, “Britney is amazing.” Since the release of Blackout last year, Spears has reunited with Larry Rudolph, her longtime manager who guided her through her golden years (and who Spears promptly fired after emerging from rehab in 2007). Spears is currently taking a break from recording, however, as she’s in Louisiana to be with her sister Jamie Lynn, who just gave birth. Spears was recently in London starring in (and co-directing) the video for “Radar,” which will be the next single from Blackout, in which she searches the city for a boy she met in a club. As for Spears’ conservatorship — her father, Jamie, remains in control of her legal affairs — the matter will be reviewed in a Los Angeles court on July 31.

Wow Weeee! Like… who gives a crap.

who cares | 6/20/2008, 2:16 pm EST

Who cares that she’s working on a new album. We all knew she lipsnched since the beginning of her career but we watched her because she was sexy and seductive. Now the sex appeal is gone and it’s solely lipsynching and her crazy antics off stage. It’s not 1999 or even 2003. Her time is over.

Watch out the flamer might come out again and tell you to
“LEave Britney alone!” Did you see when the southpark episode when they killed him and the other “youtube stars”? That was hilarious.

She DOESN’T write her own songs!
She DOESN’T sing the songs!
She’s a joke. always has been. When will people stop buying this cookie cutter garbage and start buying real music where people write and perform their own songs and don’t need to dance on the stage. I guess will never have that when people are willing to get revved up for spears and the hack rapper lil wayne.

wait a minute | 6/20/2008, 2:25 pm EST

Wait a minute. I’m not a fan of lil wayne but at least he writes his own material. But i hear what you’re saying that people will buy garbage like her and another sexual innuendo song that’s been done a million times before called “lollipop”. Point blank-both of them are overated and talentless in my book but at least wayne writes (if you can call it that) his own songs.

C’mon people. Britney Spears is extremely talented and has a brilliant music career. She deserves lots of respect and awards and should defintely be inducted to the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame and have her own star carved on the sidewalk of Hollywood Boulevard…. Yeeahhh Aiighttt!!!

Gabi Hoopasteak | 6/20/2008, 3:56 pm EST

Britney Spears is the result of sex appeal and marketing. Whatever vocal and dance talents she has are nothing that can’t be replaced with any of the other mediocre, garden-variety talent pervading and watering down the music industry in these sorry times.

That is great! | 6/20/2008, 4:41 pm EST

She is very talented & the people who mock her are just jealous. I can’t wait till her new album is out.

Aurora | 6/20/2008, 5:33 pm EST

I can’t wait! “Blackout” was the best pop album of ‘07, regardless of her mental state. I want to see her perform. She was always the best at that. The award shows are completely whack without her-that’s why the ratings keep getting lower and lower. The only show to post decent rating was the MTV awards…and that’s b/c la Britney was there!

Oh Really? | 6/20/2008, 5:49 pm EST

Obviously you gave a crap if you read the story and took the time to comment.

doris | 6/20/2008, 7:13 pm EST

i really don’t think that her time is over… obviously her music has not been the same and it was never real good music to start with but it was fun to listen, hopefully she can come out in the other side with much better music…

Jonah | 6/20/2008, 8:08 pm EST

Wow, has it really been MONTHS since Britney’s last public humiliation? In this time of recession and political turmoil, Britney could really do herself (and music fans) a favor and just dissapear… as in, stay out of the limelight and focus on being a good mother… this is really a time when she could just remove herself from the temptations of celebrity and start to build a new, sober, and rewarding life. If her fans really want the best for her as a human being, they should beg her to consider retiring from the entertainment industry- because it is her inability to cope with fame that has made her so insufferably infamous.

I used to hate her – and she’s still a dumbass – but after all the meltdowns she seems more rock and roll than the rest of the young crop. She can’t sing for shit but I gotta admit that I secretly jam to her recent songs in the car when they come on the radio. Her messy MTV performance was so bad it was borderline brilliant.

Mad4Britney | 6/21/2008, 6:36 am EST

I’m rooting for her. Who knows if she’ll be a big star forever, but I’d love to see her come back on her own terms and do things the right way. She deserves some redemption after the last couple years.

Max | 6/23/2008, 8:40 am EST

She’s a ICON! The biggest celebrity on earth.

YUM | 6/23/2008, 12:08 pm EST

She’s STILL hotter tan most everyone in the USA (land of the obese-pig female!) !!!!!!!!!!!

Walmart Records? | 6/23/2008, 2:56 pm EST

Her “career” and drama symbolize everything that is wrong with the American entertainment industry. First of all, her entire career is based on sex appeal- not musical talent (of which she has very little- i’m willing to admit she has a little, but not much). Secondly, it is disgusting that our culture seems to feed on the self-destruction of insecure, emotionally unstable, and immature celebrities like Britney Spears. The best thing for Britney and for our culture would be for her to just fade in to the night and become a normal person, doing her best to be a good mother to the unfortunate children she has spawned.
