Cat Power’s Slow-Burning Bonnaroo Set Attracts Vedder, Olsens

6/15/08, 11:46 am EST

While Mastodon bashed away across the field, as the sun began to set Cat Power’s Chan Marshall — backed by a crew of jazzbos — turned out a gorgeous set of slow-burning tunes from The Greatest and her latest covers record, Jukebox. Highlights included her rendition of the Miracles’ “Tracks of My Tears” and the meditative ballad “The Greatest.” Prowling across the stage with confidence, at times crooning into her palm as if she were holding a mirror, Marshall demonstrated how far her live show has come in recent years. And believe it or not, Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and the Olsen Twins were both spotted checking out the set from backstage.

it’s common knowledge that eddie vedder is friends with chan marshall, he’s on one of her albums and has been at shows before.

pjlvr, get over yourself. Let’s say you’re in the same room as Lindsay Lohan and I put you both in the same sentence. Who cares? Pearl Jam’s washed up anyway.

Did u have 2 put Ed’s name in the same sentance with the Olsen twins? even if they do hang out, I’d rather not have to read about it, know about it, or even picture it thank you very much.
