The Rolling Stone list of the 100 Greatest Guitar Songs is pretty definitive, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t some noble entries that just missed the cut. Luckily, RollingStone.com has salvaged the 25 near-misses, including such standouts as My Chemical Romance’s “Welcome to the Black Parade” and Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy.” Click below for the list of the big riffs worthy enough to be called honorable mentions.

How is “The Black Parade” worthy of praise as a great Guitar Song? It’s horrible.

Dear RS. Clearly something is not right when you add MCR’s Black Parade to this list, however honorable mentions go. With all of the incredible guitar songs through the decades? Seriously?

Interesting photo caption accompanying the “list”. It’s got a lead singer and a bass player, yet this list is supposed to be about the guitar.
Is it really that hard to do your job right?
I’m not gonna begin to debate your inclusion of some, because I think half of your staff works part time at Hot Topic. But that picture is like listing the 50 greatest hip hop artists and showing a picture of Ozzy.

You guys are amateurs. Did Daddy get you the job?

And as for the list-
You picked a lot of the right artists, and almost all of the wrong songs.
