U.K. dance pop duo the Ting Tings have ridden their bubblegum beats, buzz-generating live shows and a well-timed iPod ad to great early success, and their album We Started Nothing proves they have got charm and swagger to spare. I don’t get the fuss over this band. Same Old meets Nothing Special.

For a two piece band The Ting Tings are actually pretty good. I’ve heard three tracks from their new album and like all three. Maybe my only gripe is that lyrically it can be a bit repetitive. The guitar riffing in “Shut Up and Let Me Go” sounds like a 70’s disco throwback, something conceived by Kool and the Gang, but quite catchy. And Katie White sounds sexy with her repetitive “Yee Yee Yee Yee Yee” in “Great DJ”. I think it’s worth a purchase.

they are lame.
i think that U.K music is having a bad influence on the rest of the world on those days.
hate Mark,Amy,Adele,Duffy and the rest of the group.
for me the only good thing that came out from there in the last year is Leona.
