Can someone explain Mayer’s presence in this thing? And look, I’m not saying he’s a bad musician, but a guitar god? Come on. This reeks of desperation or misplaced affection. Like, OK, no Jack White, but JOHN MAYER?! Insane. Glad my sub’s up in 2 mos.

I agree. I like the guy. And he’s a proficient guitarist, albeit not entirely original. What about Nels Cline? This guy is amazing and versatile. And Adrian Belew’s work with NIN recently is incredible as well…

Jack White does get some mention in the list with the White Stripes. But I understand your point, he’s one hell of a guitarist, musician and producer.

Wow… forget Mayer does’nt belong in the same picture with Edward, somehow it’s TWICE as blasphemous having him in the same photo with the legendary Frankenstrat.

Ha Ha, I agree with Imp!Man do I feel old! look how the white stripes over time have turned yellow.I always liked that guitar in its black and white phase as it appears on the cover of VH’s first album.

Jack White is not that great of a guitarist. Come on…great musician, marketing genius, and freak..but def not a guitargod.
