I wouldn’t say this is a step up from Make Believe at all.

Rivers can write better music than this, he’s putting his talent to waste. The lyrics are quite juvenile, but really, I just don’t think he cares. Like he says, “I ain’t got a thing to prove to you.” Weezer has proved themselves, now they’re just having fun. That said, there’s a lot of experimentation on this album, some of it interesting, some of it makes you shake your head.

If they do make another album, they should go back to their roots, something like TBA or Pinkerton. But then again, every artist grows and doesn’t want to do the same thing twice.

On a side note, it’s time to stop rhyming slob and job.

Blue Album 4.5 Stars
Pinkerton 5
Green 4
Maladroit 4
Make Believe 3
RED….. 4 - 4.5

Not a big enough step up from Make Believe, thats for sure.

I can’t effin’ believe he put “Booyeah” into the chorus of Everybody Get Dangerous. Did Stuart Scott get co-writer credit?
