50 Cent’s Long Island Home Burns in “Suspicious” Fire

5/30/08, 2:38 pm EST

A “suspicious” fire broke out at a Dix Hills, New York, home owned by rapper 50 Cent and occupied by the rapper’s ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Perkins and their 10-year-old child Marquise. All six people in the house at the time, including Perkins and her son, were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. The house was at the middle of a legal battle between 50 Cent and Perkins as 50 moved to evict Perkins and his son if they didn’t pay $4,500 a month in rent. Asked why he felt the fire was “definitely suspicious,” the Dix Hills Fire Chief said “The rapid movement of the fire…It was engulfed. The home was totally gutted.” Adding more fuel to the fire is this video of 50 Cent and Perkins arguing with one another on the streets of New York City just days before the fire.

Shaniqua is the one who is obsessed. Curtis or Fifty Cents does not want that broke-down, ghetto “ho-bag!” He was with her 12 years or so ago when they had nothing and produced a child. Now this obsessed, deranged, money-hungry, conniving female won’t let go and get her life together. She is using Marquis to milk fifty for all he’s worth. He is giving her plenty to provide for his son. However, she wants him to provide for her, the no good, unemployed boyfriends, and other children she have that do not belong to Fifty Cents.

I believe that she sat that house on fire. Where is the 911 call regarding a break-in that preceded the fire? Why was Shaniqua already awake at 4 or 5 a.m. (was she in on the plan)? Where is the notion of being in panic mode here? She seemed to have time to awake and gather everyone, including a pet pig and make her escape. Too bad the cop showed up, unexpectingly…I wouldn’t be surprised to later discover that all her baby pictures, etc. of importance are in safekeeping. Think, think, Think!! Moreover, how is it possible that all the people were already making their way or reading themselves to jump to the ground…including a young girl who happens to be alert at 4 a.m; having time to think about grabbing her pet pig, brings the pig, and gives the Police Officer a high-five with a smile (not fright) on her face. This exit strategy seems pre-planned. Thank God the Cop showed up and placed his observation on record. The truth will come out in court.

People who are frightened or panicking for their life don’t have much time to think and plan and all in the mist of such a rapid moving and intense fire…set intentionally. I would think that someone would have been hurt or injured. She just so happen to be up at 4 or 5 a.m., heard someone break in, but didn’t call 911 fearing for her family’s safety. She claims that she was awake and caring for Fifty’s son Marquis (note, attention paid only to the child belonging to 50 cents) who had a cough, although the nanny was purposively there as well…sounds suspicious to me. I think that the Cop showing up unexpectingly with her running off at the mouth has provided some insight and evidence. She was angry, not scared or speechless…or in total disbelief as most victims would be.

I think this is a case where Shaniqua is trying to setup 50 Cents; trap him in an unbelievably lawsuit. I just hope the courts and jury are wise enough to see through both her and her forever publicity-seeking, money-hungry lawyer.

I say bring on the full investigation. Test all suspects, including Shaniqua’s lawyer…yeah, definitely him. I hope that justice will prevail.

Shaniqua is not afraid of Fifty, as one would expect her to be. She is so angry and obsessed that all she can think about is having Fifty call his Son so that she can get him on the phone, provoke him, and trap him into a setup (recorded conversation). Fifty, if you’re reading this…sit tight…listen to your lawyer…find a suitable third party to connect you to your son to avoid communication with Shaniqua because she wants publicity and attention. Don’t give it to her. Let the Case run its course.
