My first season of American Idol and I loved it. I liked both Davids’ voices. Cook’s was more mature and more my style so I’m glad he won. Can’t wait to see his CD come out. The best David won. I was in radio for 29 years so I think I have an ear for music. DA had some good sounds but DC is creative.

As much as I do like David Cook, I like David Archuleta a LOT more. And I’m not a teeny bopper or a grandma. I’m 22 and I definitely think Cook is more appealing physically but Archuleta’s MUSIC is what I’m into. I have watched every single season of AI, and this was by far the very best. Every contestant was extremely talented, however, when David Cook did his magic with the Lionel Richie song and then again with Billie Jean, the competition was over!!!!!!!!!! That type of talent on a consistent basis throughout the season is why David Cook did win! You are the best DC. I absolutely loved it when you asked out Kimberly Caldwell on the red carpet. You are a sweetheart and I can’t wait to hear your first release and album.

Woah!!!! This is my first year watching American Idol and I have to be honest, I got sucked into it big time. It’s funny how emotionally invested you can be with people that don’t know you from Adam. To be honest, I liked David Cook from day one. His voice, style and sound just appealed to me. How exciting that he has won. My one hope for him is to live up to the full potential and purpose of his life.

Springsteen and U2 are my favorite performers,then along comes David Cook with the same kind of soul, spirit and humbleness of great musicians. All along I kept telling my husband you should do a U2 song, then Clive Davis pics a U2 song, I looked at my husband and said this is it. I’m old enough to be your mom but I grew up in a great rock era. Here is to Time and Newsweek in the same week for you. Here is too years of fantastic music. I’ve watch a few seasons of Idol, and feel gratified that it finally worked like it should have. Cook was IMO clearly the most talented and on a season with so many “ringers” people with past music contracts and appearances on other tv shows, I love the fact that the pure spirit behind Idol won out and a true unknown won the day.

I predict that David will end up a double threat and we will see him in movies or on tv as well. His whit and “word nerdiness” will open up a lot of opportunities for him there I hope.

I would love to know about the arm bracelet. I heard it was a cancer patient support thing for a young girl who has the same type of brain cancer as Big Brother Adam Cook.

I would like to hear David talk about the orange wristband that he has been wearing on American Idol.
I believe it is the “no torture” band and respect and share those views. Hope that’s what it represents. David is obviously a very sensitive and socially aware young man with an amazing voice. Can’t wait for his 1st CD and hope to hear him write some of the same uplifting and socially conscious lyrics that he’s been performing on Idol!
