Carrie is truely our families all-time favorite American Idol. Carnival Ride has an amazing depth to it. You have rocker-chick, inspirational, soaring ballads, flat out fun & oops, did I do that? songs. The best cd released by an AI (& that is saying something when you think about Breakaway & Some Hearts!)

I find it interesting that “63 percent felt that Idol contestants with a previous record contract (a la Carly Smithson) should not be allowed to compete on the show.” and at the same time Jason Catro was voted most overrated. Doesn’t fit. He was the least experienced of the bunch and yet gave them all a run for the money. Also, in the above “quote” you say Carly, how about naming sll the contestants that had previous record contracts or years of experiece. David Cooke comes to mind (cd). David Archuleta has been performing for a number of years (wonder why no one picked him up before now). These are just the ones that come immediately to mind. Hey, you guys at RS have resources, how about doing some investigative research into the backgrounds of these idol contestants. Not the personal stuff but look for previous connections to AI. I think we’d all be very interested. Thanks

In this seasons AI, Jason Castro was by far my favorite. He brougt something none of the other contestants had, and it is a shame he was voted most overrated.

kelly clarkson should have def won, but people have to consider the fact that she had a lack of promotion during My December and Carrie was all over the place for Carnival Ride. Just wait until Kelly’s new cd and single come out, and then we will see who’s back in the limelight

yeah carrie is country kelly is indie-rock.. so yeah country has a massive audience… indie-rock has a massive underground so they really balance out in the long run lol…. but uhh kelly is better i mean all 3 of her songs off breakaway the album lasted in billboard charts for a year almost (Since you Been gone was in charts for 46 wks and Because of You was in charts for 52 weeks… and Behind These Hazel EYes was in charts for 36 or something weeks lol so yeah… kelly rocks) but kellys had more hits and its more famous world wide… she’s loved worldwide lol…carries only loved in USA (NO OFFENCE but the charts say it all)
