“We wanted to get out of the computer world and get back on tape,” Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard tells Jenny Eliscu in the current issue of Rolling Stone of his band’s just-released Narrow Stairs. “I just rediscovered my guitar.” Gibbard and Co. (with guitars) let director Lance Bangs shoot some footage of their tour rehearsals, and Rock Daily has an exclusive: video of the band playing “Your New Twin Sized Bed” in their Seattle studio.

Any information on where this was shot? It looks like it might be the “Hall of Justice” which is owned by Chris Walla and is where Nirvana recorded BLEACH, Soundgarden recorded SCREAMING LIFE, and Green River recorded most of their work (studio known as “Reciprocal Recording” back then). A very historical spot indeed.

Awesome. Hopefully a full-length dvd will come out with more footage.
