once again not coming to nashville. radiohead isn’t coming and now coldplay. alot of bands just skip our city because just about everybody here is a musician or knows one and its no fun playing for a bunch of critics

yuck | 5/12/2008, 3:45 pm EST

awful, awful, un-rock. this is coldplay sucks.

Both of these bands should get down and kiss U2’s feet.

Radiodead | 5/12/2008, 12:31 am EST

Radiohead had a couple of good songs (Creep, no surprises, high and dry, karma police, paranoid android)from 1993-1997 but that’s it. Coldplay is so much better!

Vanessa | 5/11/2008, 10:47 pm EST

Coldplay sucks and they will never be Radiohead- no matter how hard they try. That is all…

no dates in Los Angeles?

Floridee | 5/10/2008, 11:26 am EST

Im bummed about no Florida dates as well!

Christopher Schaefer | 5/10/2008, 10:44 am EST

Ok, Whats up with Florida,No dates in the Sunshine state for the new tour. As far South as there going is Atlanta? Thats not fair for the huge amount of fans down here who support their music. I hope they add some new dates before they conclude the tour.

Lowell, U2 booked the tour before they had completed the album ‘Pop’, placing time pressure on them to finish it. Coldplay completed their album a few months ago, and they’re only ANNOUNCING the tour now, so somehow I don’t think they’ve run out of time and they’ve probably been rehearsing the tour over the last few months so it should be fine.

Sean | 5/9/2008, 5:27 pm EST

Why, the hell are they not just headlining Lolla Sunday night?
That would have alot of people save alot of money in Chicago. Sorry Coldplay not this summer. Still have no clue who is closing out Sunday night. It’ not Radiohead, they got show in Deer Creek that night. Someone screwed up there.

the killers did the same thing with sam’s town… i was afraid to get tickets because i didn’t know if the album would be good… i’m not gonna make that mistake again

Announcing the tour dates and everything BEFORE even releasing the album, and giving people only two weeks of listening time before the tour begins? Bad move.

When U2 did that in 1997, they later admitted it was huge mistake. NSYNC did that for their PopOdyssey tour as well, but that doesn’t count considering the tripe they released.

Well, I think I’ll have to go to that.
