• Tom Waits hosted a mock press conference to announce the details of his new tour. Waits will begin his tour in Phoenix, Arizona, and go to cities so that, according to Waits, his route forms the constellation Hydra. Click the jump for the full itinerary.
• John Mayer used his blog this weekend to premiere a clip of a new song titled “Taking On Water” and give a video preview of his upcoming tour.
• Metallica will reportedly be added as co-headliner to L.A. rock station KROQ’s annual Weenie Roast, being held May 17th in Irvine, California.
• According to an executive producer’s unearthed memo, Mick Jagger was interested in playing the lead role in A Clockwork Orange, a part that eventually went to Malcolm McDowell. The Beatles had also “shown an interest” in scoring the Stanley Kubrick film.
