The reformed anarchists of Florida’s Against Me! combine arena-sized pop punk hooks with ripped-from-the-headlines lyrics railing against oppression and the government. Click here for more on Against Me! from Rolling Stone’s Best of Rock 2008, including a stream of their excellent 2007 album New Wave.

Reformed anarchists? They just made that typical disaster album most punk bands make when they switch to a major label.
While it was good for them trying to grab a bigger audience, they all-but-abandoned their old sound. It was like they tied one arm behind the drummer’s back, and he’s the best musician of the group.
To each their own, but I thought they had a good thing going that hopefully they’ll return to.
Has anybody seen these guys open for the Foo Fighters? Curious how their show is in an arena vs. a smaller club…
