
- Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band returned last night for their first performance since keyboardist Danny Federici’s passing. The band opened with “Backstreets” while a spotlight shone on a empty keyboard seat.
- Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo says one of the deciding factors in reuniting the band was the possibility of opening for Led Zeppelin if Zep ever decided to tour.
- Jordin Sparks‘ doctor-ordered vocal rest is not the result of a career-threatening throat injury, her publicist said in a statement, adding Sparks is expected to start her opening slot on Alicia Keys‘ tour next month.
- The Arcade Fire have announced a pair of North Carolina shows in support of Barack Obama. The band previously played pro-Obama shows in Ohio earlier this year.
