- Soul singer Al Wilson, most famous for the 1974 single “Show and Tell,” has died in California. He was 68.
- Nokia has announced its customers will receive twelve free months of music from Sony BMG artists. Unlike the deal Nokia struck with Universal, users would be able to keep all of the music downloaded once the free period ends.
