Saw Eli and his band at Memphis in May and he was just incredible–channeling the true spirit of Stax with a back-up band that takes the roof off. By the second tune, he had the audience, black and white, in the palm of his hand. The band wailed like a terror. Check them out if you get a chance!

I heard this young guy and his band on abc radio Australia. It was just one number. I was hooked. I am 57 year old true lover of good quality Soul R&B and as far I’am concerned Ali and the True loves are there. It’s so refreshing to hear this kind of music played at such a professional level with the boys still puting there own personal stamp on the music. Great stuff….. Big davey from Melbourne
