
- Babyshambles‘ Pete Doherty has been sentenced to fourteen weeks in jail for both failing to show up for probation hearings stemming from an October drug possession arrest and for his continuous drug use. A spokesperson for Doherty said the former Libertine was looking into an appeal.
- A breach of contract lawsuit was filed against Eminem’s mother by a literary agent that alleges she broke a 2005 exclusivity contract by writing and publishing the book My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem: Setting the Record Straight on My Life as Eminem’s Mother.
- Rumors that Jay-Z will pull out of this year’s Glastonbury festival amid low ticket sales are “completely unfounded” says festival organizer Michael Eavis. The newlywed rapper was also added as headliner of this summer’s O2 Festival in London.
