  • The Allman Brothers have postponed their annual run at NYC’s Beacon Theatre and cancel their performance at Florida’s Wanee Festival because Gregg Allman needs time to recover from a bout with Hepatitis C. Rescheduled dates will be announced soon.
  • Rapper Remy Ma was found guilty of four criminal charges stemming from a 2007 incident when Remy shot a friend she suspected stole $3,000 from her. Ma faces twenty-five years in prison.
  • A group of audio researchers have unearthed an audio recording of a human voice from the 1860s, preceding Thomas Edison’s invention of the phonograph by two decades.
  • Kimora Lee Simmons has filed for divorce from her husband, Def Jam founder Russell Simmons. The pair had been estranged since 2006.

The article on the first recording is excellent. Your magazine should do an in-depth story on it. If this doesn’t qualify as a top story for a music magazine I don’t know what does.

Saw Def Leppard tour in WPB, FL and they were tight! I didn’t know what to expect but they really rocked.

I have seen my share of concerts and this was a good line up. So if you get the chance go check out the show. Worth the price of admission.
