- Three songs off Be Your Own Pet’s new four star album >Get Awkward were removed after lawyers at the group’s label Universal deemed the tracks “too violent.” “I guess that’s just what happens when you decide to have something to do with a major label,” said BYOP singer Jemina Pearl.”
- ASCAP has filed copyright infringement lawsuits against twenty-nine nightclubs, bar and restaurants for “publicly performing the songs of the performing rights organization’s songwriter, composer and music publisher members without a license.”
- A twelve-year-old Bloomington, Illinois, boy was arrested last Thursday after throwing a rock through Soulja Boy’s tour bus windshield. When pressed by police for a reason, the boy simply responded, “I hate Soulja Boy.”
