Every week Poison frontman Bret Michaels searches for a worthy life partner on Rock of Love 2, while Rock Daily searches for ways to reference “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” in our Rock Reality Show Recaps. Here’s our take on episode eight:
Sixty Minutes of Rockin’ Reality in One Sentence: The ladies split into groups to shoot videos for two Bret Michaels songs — Destiney’s sexy stripper group and Ambre’s artistic weepy group — and Michaels shockingly picks the latter as the winner, giving Ambre a solo date involving a spiritual healer who says she and Bret have been tight since the twelfth century.
Did Every Rose Have Its Thorn?: Well, literally it did. Ambre’s video for “Fallen” (a “Rose”-esque ballad) featured Kristy Jo receiving a rose … which we presume had a thorn.
The Most Ridiculous Part: Daisy’s spontaneous (and unbelievably fake) burst of tears once she realizes the hated Kristy Jo will be getting a date with Bret for being on the winning team (Jessica later sobs on the staircase).
The Rockin’ Finish: Kristy Jo (”very hot … very annoying”) appears to lie to Bret about when exactly she broke things off with her second husband, which you’d think is finally enough to get her booted from the house. Alas, Bret tries to get rid of Megan, but Kristy Jo admits she has to get home to deal with some issues and a distraught Michaels walks her out the door, gets misty and ditches the traditional beer toast that concludes each episode.
