- Gnarls Barkley will release their second album The Odd Couple next Tuesday, March 25th, after pushing up the original April 8th street date three weeks. “With the shifting seasons, furtive romantic entanglements and fierce college basketball rivalries, the latter half of March can be confusing. People need to be soothed and inspired now,” the band explained on their website. UPDATE: The Odd Couple is apparently now available on iTunes and Rhapsody to download, one week before its rescheduled physical release date.
- Dave Matthews Band, Tom Petty and John Mayer will headline the Mile High Festival outside of Denver, CO, on July 19th and 20th. The Black Crowes, Spoon, Steve Winwood and the Roots are also among the bands performing.
- matt pond PA are changing their name to the Dark Leaves, singer Matt Pond says (His name will remain Matt Pond.) The move was made because “It’s time to give everybody else I work with their due,” says Pond.
- The victim in the Game’s basketball court assault case is suing the rapper in connection to the incident. The Game was sentenced to sixty days in prison following the assault, but was released last week after only eight days.
