Barack Obama’s presidential campaign may still be going strong, but his reign as Rolling Stone cover boy is coming to an end. Tomorrow, the new issue premieres, featuring the owner of this neck nape. Who is it, and why is Rock Daily trying to attract vampires? Leave your best guess to both questions in the comments, and tune in tomorrow morning to get a look at the new cover and to read an excerpt of the feature.

I hope it is The Roots or Gnarls Barkley.

I have a bad feeling it is Timbaland.

I would guess either Diddy or Tupac.

j2k | 3/18/2008, 6:57 pm EST

It’s Simon Cowell.

Jb12680 | 3/18/2008, 7:22 pm EST

R.E.M. and michael Stipe.

Great band.

Philip | 3/18/2008, 7:52 pm EST

I agree with Chris. It’s recent Saturday Night Live featured band Vampire Weekend. The clue was a dead give away. It was either them or David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel from Bones, but I believe it’s Vampire Weekend obviously!

Seth | 3/18/2008, 10:39 pm EST

I think they just mentioned vampires because it’s a picture of a neck.

Matt | 3/18/2008, 10:51 pm EST

Trent? Maybe.

The second question I’m more sure of the answer- Kiefer in Stephen King’s Stand By Me (movie based on his death story The Body).
These days, of course, he and Big Donald (who didn’t know he was in Richard Heinlein’s film The Puppetmasters? Right- nobody)
are safe as houses.
That IS ALL/

With respect all you respondents are way way way of the mark. That neck is non other than your very own O.J Simpson from a cigarette ad spoof on the back of an old Playboy magazine depicting OJ with a black eye with a caption which reads something to the effect of “I’d rather fight than switch”.
Neck shmeck shleck feck

Scenic Anemia | 3/19/2008, 2:39 pm EST

I think it’s Chris Rock.

Toilet Trained | 3/19/2008, 5:08 pm EST

Ummm, I can’t figure out who that is for the life of me. Is that Eddie Murphy? Or is that OJ Simpson? It’s gotta be Gnarls Barkley.

Anonymous | 3/19/2008, 9:11 pm EST

I have been saying Stipe for the last two times, maybe the third time is a charm

Great . . . | 3/21/2008, 3:54 am EST

Let’s hope not. REM is Librarian Heavy Metal!
