I love what they did here. So many people were disappointed with Z. (I don’t understand why, but that’s the way it is.) I can’t tell you how many times I heard, “There older stuff was better.” But instead of giving in and going back to the way things were, they expanded on the sound even more, and so far I love it. I can’t wait for the new album. I honestly can’t.

This new song sucks. This is all it takes now? One chord over and over again with some bad falsetto vocals over a repetitive Rob Zombie/Tom Waits-esque chorus line? Blah.

What kind of name is “My Morning Jacket”?

How about “My Morning Eggs, Bacon, and Toast?” “My Morning Jog Around the Block?” “My Morning Vitamins?”
“My Morning Coffee?”

Wimpy wimpy wimpee!!!

If not, these two are the cutest wittle oogie googie my sweet little boo boo baby band names:

“My Winter Cap And Mittens”

or, my favorite:

“Morning, Sunshine!”

and of course you need the exclamation point because it looks SOOO Coool! wretch!

They really are the best, seeing them at the Fillmore Dec 06 was like going to another planet where there was the most amazing music, can’t wait to see them again.

It’s really exciting watching My Morning Jacket become the Next best band on the planet. “Z” was incredible and i thin “Evil Urges” is going to put them over the top.
