In regards to all the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame remarks and posted comments…What is with you people? Sounds like envy of everything and everyone. Why can’t you just be happy or be miserable in private. You want to see something happen then stop complaining and do something constructive about it. People make it in this world by shear tenacity and usually working for it. Very few in any industry especially the music industry get anything handed to them. So I say if you love it Rock On otherwise shut up. Be happy, make a joyful noise and change the attitude.

I’d like to see Davey Jones of the Monkees get recognition with the rock and roll hall of fame. That music was a huge healthy and happy part of my childhood and all the babysitters and college kids had crushed on each of the monkees. Daveu Jones did not lip synch – he can sing! So why rob them of their work – the joy in it brought the validity of joy to many of us. Tell them to put the Monkees in there now or forever die of obscurity in being snobs to joy.
I’m a Believer and a Daydream Believer and some rock and roll snobs have felt they know more about what moves us than we do. As Goethe wrote: ” Do it now.”

oh okay – so now you think I am off topic? I don’t think so.
If the topic is the rock and roll hall of fame and you are putting Madonna in there, then ask her—-and I’ll bet she’d second my vote to put davey jones and the monkees in with her. She is no snob. C’mon — have some fun with it all and laugh and live a little. I bet if you polled all your readers — the ones who were not crabs would agree that The Monkees were part of the heart of our radios and the joy that they brought balanced out a lot of that era’s sorrows. What is music if it can’t manifest itself throught unselfish channels?

you are chicken to not post my last one and I am not really a cowboy but why are you all so stuck on not being nice to people and thus encouraging others to be same way back? This country could use a little positive enthusiasm and it’s not like the Monkees were a bunch of meth-heads! And they are still very able to get it together and preform live for all of you to see that it’s REAL

really? | 3/12/2008, 5:23 pm EST

“you are chicken to not post my last one . . .”

Yeah, I’m sure your little notes are striking fear into the hearts of the Rolling Stone staff!
Maybe they’re keep taking them down because they’re bad.

They’re filled with info about your boring past and your lifeless observations about the Monkees! They look like they’re WRITTEN by a meth-head.

What the fuck is the “heart of the radio”, anyway?

HEY HEY MY MY THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF SHAME WILL DIE ! THIS IS THE STORY OF JOHNNY ROTTEN WHO TOLD THEM TO FUCK OFF!

Today Madonna, tomorrow Engelbert Humperdinck! After all, in 1967 “Release Me” kept the Beatles’ “Penny Lane” out of the top spot in the UK. To quote the Rutles, “All You Need is Cash.”

Lot of street cred, Rock Hall!
