When has Duran Duran been relevant. The overall impact of David Bowie & Pink Floyd is far superior to Duran Duran. It’s 2008, not 1985. Most people realized Duran Duran was thin on talent long ago. Capitol records is trying to ’sell’ CD’s, not relive mistakes

Why? Do people need digitally re-re-remastered versions of the same re-re-recycled catologue once again.

I still have my cassette versions of 1962-1966 and 1967-1970 and copies Sgt. Pepper’s, The White Album, Let It Be, Meet The Beatles and BBC recordings.

How much collectible shit does one person need? If you’re willing to go out and buy another version of their catalogue, you’re a sucker and Paul Mc Cartney is laughing his fucking ass off at you! As he should.

There are also a few other artists - Duran Duran, for one - where the fans have been clamoring for remasters of albums that haven’t been sonically re-touched. Granted, a 20-year old Duran Duran album isn’t going to save the company, but they can do quite a bit more than David Bowie and Pink Floyd. I hope they do.
