  • Gossip columnists Rush & Molloy are reporting that Jay-Z’s next venture after leaving his CEO chair at Def Jam will be launching his own record label, dubbed Carter Music Group. The new label’s first rumored release? R&M says Jigga will allegedly collaborate with Nas, who has his own album problems, on a record called The Kings of Hip-Hop.
  • Bob Dylan has recruited Jack White, Willie Nelson, Lucinda Williams and more to record unfinished Hank Williams songs for an upcoming compilation.
  • Common has his 2008 all planned out: the rapper will release his Invincible Summer EP in June, followed by the full-length The Believer later in the year. Common will also participate in an ad campaign, along with Billie Joe Armstrong, Karen O and others, to celebrate one hundred years of Converse shoes.
  • With his stretch of Madison Square Garden shows with Eric Clapton set to launch tonight, Steve Winwood announced that his new album, titled Nine Lives, will hit stores April 29th.
