True, couldn’t agree more- Bardem was phenomenal.
Except Paul Dano should have been nominated.

I thought Casey Affleck gave a much riskier, much more interesting performance. His choices of facial inflection or disposition made the story make sense and revealed why the film was even made in the first place. It made the film much deeper than it would have been as just an ordinary western. none of the other 4 can say that about their performances.
