Your publication needs to get its priorities straight. On your cover, you indicate Britney Spears is an American Tragedy…in much smaller font to the side is a note about Heath Ledger.

Tragedy is an overused word in the media anyway (a tragedy is an event like a tsunami, not the mental illness of a rich celebrity). But if you really want to talk about tragedy, why not talk about Ledger? A talented actor accidently kills himself, and yet your publication pins the term tragedy on somebody who IS STILL ALIVE!

The only logical inference for the magazine’s willingness to focus on Spears over Ledger IN THE SAME ISSUE is that Rolling Stone is primarily conerned with selling issues over journalistic integrity. Shame on you.

The running of this story while she is alive is as despicable as the AP having her obituary already written.

This only reaffirms my decision of canceling my subscription last year. This publication’s quality has dropped significantly…get your shit together!
