American Idol is going to Disney World. The Hollywood Studios theme park announced yesterday that a “live performance attraction” based on the biggest TV show in the country will launch some time this year. This got Rock Daily thinking: once this becomes a hit, what other music-based reality shows will get their own rides at Disney World? Take a peek at our brilliant interactive entertainment concepts after the jump.
- The Gone Country Bears Jamboree: Thrill as animatronic versions of Dee Snider, Bobby Brown and others play in a jug band in between bickering about who is more irrelevant.
- Tunnel of Rock of Love: It’s actually not unlike “It’s a Small World,” except all the tiny male singers wear bandanas and all the girls have collagen implants.
- The Making the Band Emotional Rollercoaster: Rise and fall based on Diddy’s fickle personality and short attention span. Once in a while, Diddy shows up halfway through the ride to cancel the whole thing.
- Flavor Flav’s Wild Ride: Just like “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride,” except it’s really, really gross.
- Gene Simmons’ Big God of Thunder Mountain Railroad: Hop on board the Gene Simmons Express and wind your way through the God of Thunder’s psyche, featuring his wacky philosophy, his sexual conquests and his thoughts on Paul Stanley. The whole thing is soundtracked by Gene’s hideous cover of Prodigy’s “Firestarter.”
- Pussycat Dolls Present the Tower of Terror: Exactly like “The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror,” except the elevator keeps falling until it hits rock bottom. All riders are then spat out the bottom of the porn industry after their albums are constantly delayed.
