Vampire Weekend is an amazingly awesome band name. that is all.

The first single from Vampire Weekend is like Coldplay. When I am listening to the song, I like it. Five minutes after the song is done. I have no clue how the song goes or what the title was. So, I’m hoping to catch other songs from the album later on to see if it’s worth getting. In the meantime, I’m going to get the latest from Shelby Lynne and Willie Nelson.

according to Christian Hoard Vampire Weekend has a “better record” than the mars volta.. who’s he to decide that its “better” that his personal opinion. Vampire Weekend sounds like typical redundant pop music that is oh so cherished in closed public minds, I don’t dislike Vampire Weekend, but whether they are better than the Mars Volta is an opinion.

the only reason it’s annoying is because it’s everything you don’t want it to be, which is the way it should be…

At the Drive In was vastly overrated, and if the best thing C. Hoard can say about the best track on the new Mars Volta CD is that it’s “relatively coherent”, I expect more of the same. Not a record I would buy; not a band I would recommend.

Vampire weekend played my nephew Cillian’s bah mitzvah, I thought they were pretty decent for pop music standards.

coherency is in no way a problem when it comes to “bedlam”

where in the hell did that come from?.. did you even LISTEN to it?.. let’s be serious…

The name’s a bit offputty actually. Heard the end of one song and the band name and never wanted to hear it again, heard another and now want to buy record but much too stingy. In love with the idea though. not at all redundant, though I can’t remember who they are either.

The Mars Volta is awesome. How dare you.

I love their sound. If only I knew what in f— the songs were actually about!?

j.j | 8/27/2009, 12:23 am EST

vampire weekend has a great vibe…they are original.

Let’s face it. None of you can really judge music so let’s all shut our pie-holes. The Mars Volta is more energy than anyone can imagine. Only people with ballsy capacity can say they are better than Bampire Beekend.
