
- Britney Spears arrived at the L.A. Superior Courthouse yesterday but never actually entered for the emergency hearing in her child custody case with Kevin Federline, Us Weekly reports. The judge ruled the ban on Spears seeing her two sons remains in tact. The pair’s next hearing is scheduled for February 4th.
- English punk act Gallows became the latest group to be banned from playing Disneyland’s House of Blues, following Machinehead’s forced relocation last September. Their Tuesday gig was cancelled due to the band’s lyrical content.
- Portishead followed up the news of their headlining gig at Coachella by announcing the release of their first album in eleven years. Titled Third, the record is due April 14th.
- Various sources have put together a potentially spoiler-filled list of American Idol’s top twenty-four contestants, which were reportedly chosen yesterday. The list was based on footage shot at the Pasadena City Hall and photos snapped during the filming.
- Metallica’s ninth album will reportedly arrive in stores this September. A rep for the band declined to confirm or deny the rumor, only telling the Rock Radio, “It will be out when it’s ready.” The band has a string of European festival appearances confirmed starting in late May.
