can’t the Afghan Whigs sue these guys for stealing half their name? They should look into it.
Whatever happened to them, I thought they were pretty good!

does anyone actually care about the Afghan Whigs?

THE Whigs are all you really need.

Can’t wait to hear this baby. it’s hard to avoid the stream, but I WILL.

Well, I do. So there. Afghan Whigs were a lot better than the alternative slop that was being shoved down everyone’s throat in the early 90’s.

With one notable exception: Soundgarden, a really excellent band with a very creative songwriter, composer, and singer, Chris Cornell. The rest of it can go in the fuckin’ shitcan!

I did like Homo Humpin’ Slomo Babe with that hot chick with the braces? Whatever happened to her?

Oh yeah, Juliana Hatfield had a sweet voice. The Lemonheads were a bunch of talentless asswipes whose only good song was a Simon and Garfunkel cover.

Oh yeah, “Mother” from Danzig rocked and Henry Rollins did a slammin’ cover of MC5’s “Kick Out The Jams” for the Pump Up The Volume soundtrack. And Blood Sugar Sex Magik was brilliant! That pretty much covers the 90s!

The Whigs??? I’m more of a Federalist Party guy myself!

The Afghan Whigs… of course people care about them. Sad that some people would find The Whigs more important than the groundbreaking Afghaners. Folks should be listening to Dulli’s band The Twilight Singers, as they continue to sound fresh in these sanitized times.

Pretty sure this is about the Whigs, not the Afghan Whigs. I don’t really remember the second band making to much of a dent in the music world lately. As for the Whigs, there has been so much buzz about them more and more over the past few years. It’s no wonder Rolling Stone named them as one of the top 10 bands to watch or “The #1 Unsigned Band in America.” Well now they are signed and everybody seems to be watching. You can’t open a magazine without seeing their new album mentioned. They were even on Letterman tonight. I’ve been following these guys for a couple years now. They’re amazing.
