311?

norm | 1/15/2008, 8:24 am EST

Shouldn’t 311 and Puddle of Mudd just tour together? Call it the “Who Gives a Shit?” Tour.

Scott | 1/15/2008, 8:52 am EST

You want to know one reason why rock music sucks so hard nowadays? Because there are no “ROCK STARS” anymore. There’s no personality, no charisma, no presence. Take a look at the three douchebags in the picture above. No wonder nobody’s interested in rock music anymore. Man, the music scene (all music, not just rock music) is lame now.

Scott | 1/15/2008, 8:56 am EST

I’m sure some will criticize my comment below by saying “It’s not what the people LOOK like that’s important, it’s whether or not they make great music”, and I mostly agree with that. But there is no doubt that having a distinct personality and presence is important, because that’s compelling as well. If your band looks like guys who just walked out of a Goodwill store, you’re not going to spark anyone’s interest. Maybe that worked during the grunge heyday in the 90’s, but not now.

There is plenty of good music out there if you care to look for it. Scott needs to stop bicthing, he sound like a whiny 10 year old girl.

aside from say anything, these are old bands that probably will play one, if any, new songs. to me, puddle of mudd and megadeth would be the “WGAS?” tour. i realize theyre hilarious, in the bad way, but i have a real soft spot for burnin it up and seeing 311. i think i might even organize some friends to go to New Orleans for the 3/11 day show!!! there’s nothing wrong with just seeing good music … and honestly i prefer seeing a show where there’s not so much hype …

311 | 1/16/2008, 11:51 am EST

311-day 2008 has been sold out for over a month. Good luck on EBay finding tickets! I will be seeing 311 in Salt Lake and New Orleans. IMVHO, one of the best live bands out there.

I saw 311 last year for the unity tour with Matisyahu, and it was awesome if you’re into reggae infused music and smoking! LoL
I also saw Say Anything twice on their myspace tour with Hellogoodbye! Say Anything is definitely worth seeing live, they may not dress like douche bag rock stars like Scott wishes, but their rock star personality, presence, and charisma are definitely apparent! So if you like their music then you can’t miss them live!

311’s off the hook, best live band around! Can’t wait for the New Orleans show!

how can you not like 311? w/e you can keep listening to terrible 90’s alternative style rock that Puddle of Mudd puts out…very trashy music “maybe Im the WOAAAONNE thats a schizophrenic psycho” seriously? what terrible lyrics…

311 actually puts out original tunes, and chad lays down some sick beats

311 is so much above Puddle of Mudd’s level the two touring together would be a shame. 311 is a balls to the wall with fun show that is tough to top and seeing them with pepper in the wailers in 06 and then again with Matisyahu in 07 is incomparable.
