Last night, during his maiden show since the onset of the Writer’s Guild strike, Conan O’Brien made a little video depicting how he’d spent the days waiting to return to the air. What we learned: O’Brien can proficiently execute “Sunshine of Your Love” and the opening riff of “Purple Haze” on guitar. Also, he enjoys busting in on his staffers’ Rock Band sessions to play along with Radiohead’s “Creep,” and he does a wicked “Sabatoge” in the voice of Edith Bunker.

His Edith Bunker impression was the funniest thing I’d seen in a long time.

Still remember Conan’s all-U2 episode a couple of years ago. Good stuff.

I’m getting used to the beard, hey. It almost suits him.
The whole show was hilarious; it was so obvious that they had absolutely no material.
They spent 2-3 minutes seeing how long Conan could spin his wedding ring on his desk for!
Tomorrow nite: Table Football with Max Weinberg.
