Every week on the new E! series Father Hood, Snoop Dogg takes you into the mundane shiznit of being both a family man and a potty-mouthed hip-hop icon. Here’s our fourth Rock Reality Recap:
Thirty Minutes in Three Sentences: Snoop’s oldest son Spank is starting to feel the heat from the schoolyard girls, and the Dogg and Boss Lady decide it’s time to have a talk about puppy love. The same day Snoop films his video for “Sensual Seduction,” playing a throwback alter ego dubbed “Rick Prince James” while his adolescent sons and senior citizen Uncle Junebug hit on the extras. Snoop “you know I don’t love them hos” Dogg romances his wife, and the two remember their prom days and recall how they fell in love.
Kin and Juice: Snoop’s closest uncle, Uncle Junebug, makes his first appearance on Father Hood, introduced by Snoop as the sixty-seven-year-old who loves nineteen-year-old women and Hennessy. While Snoop is playing the keytar, Uncle Junebug corners Spank in the trailer, giving him a creepy talk about grinding on women and then warning the thirteen-year-old to never “let no woman pee in your face and call it sweet milk.” Snoop sweeps in with some damage control with some fatherly advice and a sweet tale of how Snoop and Spank’s mother met.
It’s a Doggy Dogg World: While Snoop is very publicly playing in the sheets for the cameras, his honorary teenage son Anthony tries to perfect his pick-up lines on the video girls. With a little help from Snoop, he graduated from “If you were a booger, I’d pick you first,” to telling a girl named Coffee he could be her “sugar and cream.” Still not quite a winner, but Snoop’s delivery made it sound like a sexual State of the Union.
Snoopism of the Day: The Snoopguistics word of the day is “Preach” — appropriate for use when something sounds “slick to your ears” or “that just makes you feel good.” Like when Snoop tells his son when he comes of the sensual seduction age he’ll give him the fatherly gift of “a box of those thangs that killed John Wayne.” Preach. Or when he assures his son that “It’s a Snoop Dogg video, of course there’s gonna be girls there.” Next week the Dogg goes to Munich to sing “Drop It Like It’s Hot” to a clumsy waitress and listen to a German man cluck like a chicken when Snoop asks for his favorite food.
