
- Tired of the usual Dick Clark New Year’s Eve fare? On December 31st at midnight, ring in 2008 with Radiohead and Al Gore. To mark the New Year’s Day release of the In Rainbows CD, Gore’s Current TV will broadcast a pre-recorded yet still-unseen performance of Radiohead playing their new album in its entirety, as well as some surprises (including a hinted-at Siouxsie and the Banshees cover). Like the band’s “thumbs down” webcast, the New Year’s performance can also be seen at Radiohead.tv at 7 pm EST, or midnight U.K time, as well as at Current.com at midnight EST/9pm PST.
- Following the shocking revelation that Gimme Shelter and Grey Gardens documentarian Albert Maysles was working on a Fall Out Boy film, Pete Wentz says the doc will examine “how the industry is changing” by focusing on Wentz’s Decaydance Records. The film will also document a year in the life of Fall Out Boy.
- According to the Ouija Board video on his Web site, Nick Cave and his Bad Seeds have a new album, titled Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!, coming out on March 3rd.
