It takes a pretty impressive video to make us report on a song that’s more than eight months old. Thus is the case with the “unofficial” new video for CRS’ “Us Placers” Nah Right introduced us to today. CRS being the rap supergroup of Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco and Pharrell Williams. If that trifecta of talent wasn’t enough, the trio utilize a sample from Thom Yorke’s “The Eraser” on the track. The new video, which seems like the best Kids-R-Us commercial ever, features four ten-years-olds emulating the marquee talent, right down to their clothing and mannerisms, with Little Kanye busting out those venetian-blind sunglasses and the “diamonds in the sky” salute. While the kid who portrays Thom Yorke looks more like a mini-Josh Groban than the Radiohead frontman, it’s not enough to detract for the sheer enjoyment of this video, which we’ve short-listed along with Snoop Dogg’s “Sensual Seduction” as among the year’s best.

Geez, Daniel, you could have decided to give me credit for correcting the name of the track and not deleted my comment correction. I wasn’t trying to be a jerk, I just couldn’t find it elsewhere online as “Us Watchers” and saw “Us Placers” instead.
Thanks?

Thom Yorke needs the most credit here. The “producers” didn’t change a thing about his music. They just threw lame verses over it.

I love how they show the Pharrel Williams kid playing the piano instead of Thom Yorke. It’s bad enough that they had to sample Thom’s song but don’t portray it like Pharrel came up with this great Piano part and they just asked Thom to sing.

mad late but just to clarify, thom yorke doesn’t really produce the music, at least, not alone. he does have the best voice ever though.

Yorke admits that EVEN he didn’t come up with the chords to that piano part… so who cares that the Pharrell kid is shown playing piano.
