Fans of both The Simpsons and Pink Floyd, we have something for you: To promote tomorrow’s release of The Simpsons Movie DVD, the Springfield collective hovered a giant inflatable “Spider-Pig” — Homer Simpson’s adopted pet from the film — over London’s Battersea Power Station, in a tribute to the album artwork for Pink Floyd’s 1977 disc Animals. This isn’t the first time that the Simpsons have channeled famous album covers, nor is it the first time they’ve made reference to the Animals star. Watch the video of Homer Simpson’s pig taking over the air Roger Waters’ pig once occupied above.
