For the full document of tonight’s monster gig, you’re going to have to wait for the official DVD, which is due out next year, but here are two clips, the first from a British news broadcast showing a snippet of “Black Dog” (above) and the second a fan video of the first twenty-one seconds of the opening song, “Good Times Bad Times” (after the jump).

Based on the great reviews and the couple of clips I’ve seen, Zep proved all the doubters wrong. Maybe they’re old, but they still got it. And what a great thing to see Jason Bonham play so well; he’ll remember it forever.
People, you are never too old. Zep proved it.
Let me go out on a limb to wonder if this may somehow jumpstart young players to become musicians again. After all, enough of Timberlake and Britney. Alas, probably not.

God must have been in the audience last night for 2 hours, and said let this be the greatest performance ever. The Cult would be an interesting opening act for them on a world tour, but honestly do they need one?
How were the other performances? Pete Townsend played too.

think rock continues its return to favor, however zep will not be so much the key but games like guitar hero 3 and rockstar have my kids wanting to be guitarists, singers, drummers etc. So much more accesible to them than the likes of justin, britney etc

Zep is real music…not like the rap crap that’s put out these days! If it rhymes, publish it, garbage with no lyrics what so ever. They are poetic, they are talented and they are legends forever! I hope you heard them Gregory all the way in heaven!

I was there and blown away. I feel priviledged to have seen the greatest rock band EVER put together the mother of all reunions. This wasn’t a hashed up gig, this was the real deal. When was the last time rock brought tears to YOUR eyes?
Mario | 12/13/2007, 3:11 am EST
The sound was phenomenal. This concert has to go down as one of the best ever. we were not only entertained, but captivated and carried along the eye of the Zeppelin tornado – certainly left me breathless and gasping for more.
Absolutely superb

Led Zeppelin´s music has truly and in a very real way changed and influenced my life. I am pretty devastated that I didn´t get to attend the rock show and have to suffice with a DVD next year (?). One can always hope for a LZ tour, but I am afraid it´ll never amount to anything but a hope… or what? What I´ve seen from the concert proves beyond any words that Led Zeppelin is still, as it has always been the greatest band in the world by far. Their legendary songs are just an endless array of masterpieces that have the power to empower and enrich the mind of anyone who opens up to them. I wish Jones, Page, Plant and Bonham jr. all the best in their lives and hope they answer the call of the millions desiring to see them in concert… and when they do, they should definitely pay Iceland another visit – “We come from the land of the Ice and Snow/Where the midnight sun and the hot springs flow”
custardpie40 | 12/15/2007, 5:05 am EST
i dreamed of seeing Zeppelin since i was a young teen in the mid seventies, they are my favorite band, my 52 year old brother cranks his stereo so loud at his house, his wife’s glass minitures fall off the shelves and break when zeppelin is on, so many keg parties in the 70’s and 80’s jamming to zeppelin, my boom box out in the woods at a cabin in the snow with teen friends, fire cranking, the radio waves fluttering over the flames, and zeppelin stoking the adrenaline and air guitars..ty zepp!..you guys meant so much to me, gave me so many great memories, you must realize that your the talk everywhere, we need you more than ever now in the arena’s..Jason by all means is the second wind. He has his father’s talents and by all means this was meant to be.
IGBT | 12/16/2007, 4:38 am EST
..their music and talent was always highly distinguished. Purveyors of hard rock/heavy metal with an acoustic folk soul. They fly high over the puff piece commercial squalor that passes for talent today. Peerless they are.

saw ZEP in st. louis in 1973; what a show. they still got it!

I’m a 53 year old Rocker, from the UK, and a huge fan of Led Zep. They are undoubtedly the BEST Rock Band that, ever lived, and have done more to lift my spirits, over the years, than any other music ever could. I was lucky enough to see them live, in there heyday, in 1972 in Coventry, England, and would love to see them “Live”, again. Please do some more Gigs, lads! “Dazed and Confused”, means so much to me, I would like to have it played at my funeral. God bless you Zep, please give us more.
You are true “Gods of rock”, and your music will live forever.

For anyone who has ever wondered, there can be aboslutely no doubt that this is the greatest band ever. Look up Stairway to Heaven from the reunion on youtube. there’s a good one that’s 9:19 long. Plant can still hit all the notes.
Plant, Jones, Page, Bonham, I’m really proud of you guys, I didn’t think you could do it. But you could. And it rocked.
None of these new kids can stand up to the glory that was, is, and will always be Led Zeppelin.
Titas203 | 12/25/2007, 10:23 pm EST
I am a huge fan, but it is best if there is no tour resulting from this show.
Plant wanted to have “One last great concert” and to go out on top, and he did. There is no need to ruin a great finish by subjecting themselves to fall in the circle of “has-been reunion tours” (The Police, The Eagles, Genesis, etc)
Let’s enjoy the DVD of the show and appreciate it for what it was, one last great show of one of the greatest bands that there ever was.

I saw all the clips from You Tube in the order they were played in the concert and it felt like I was there!! In a word.. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Robert, Jimmy, John Paul, Jason… the world wants more..please I beg of you…TOUR!!!!!!

I was at O2. LZ were awesome. Best gig I have ever been to. Perhaps if Jimi Hendrix came back from the grave he could put on a better concert.
Spice Girls and Take That also played O2 over Christmas period. Pathetic in comparison!

I first heard Zeppelin when I was 11 years. by the time I was 12, I had collected almost all of there albums and I couldn’t wait for them to release In Through The Out Door. I remember when it was reseased. My friends and I brought it home and had a listening party. The intro for “In The Evening” still gives me chills to this day. We were planning for them to come to California as part of a world tour but, Bonzo had passed away. Now I’m 40 and still a big fan. I would love to have the opportunity to see them live.
jonesin | 1/10/2008, 6:20 pm EST
I was lucky enough to attend the concert in London at the O2 and it was AWESOME!! In My Time of Dying made me cry. It still feels like a total dream to me to actually see Led Zeppelin.. no, LED ZEPPELIN! YOU GUYS ROCKED!! I cannot wait for the DVD to come out!

True Led Head | 1/10/2009, 1:57 pm EST
Having been fortunate enough to see Zep live in 1977 I have seen the BEST THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN OR EVER WILL SEE!!! I had tickets to see them again in 1979 when Plant had a family emergency and they cancelled the tour. Had tickets once again to see them only for the tour to be cancelled again because of Bonzo’s untimely demise due to drinking himself to death. At that time the band decided to call it quits because without Bonzo Led Zeppelin would not be Led Zeppelin thus there would be no more Led Zeppelin!!!
Bonzo’s death was a severe blow to the members of the band and the world of Rock and Roll that the world of Rock and Roll has still not got past and frankly I do not think the members of the band have either, nor do I not think anyone who was or is a true fan of Led Zeppelin will ever get past. Bonzo you screwed us all shame on you.
What constitutes a genuine fan? Some would say that I am a true Zep fan as I have every album they ever produced on Vinyl. For those of you that do not know what I mean by Vinyl, I mean 33 speed records a form of putting music on large discs of plastic a technology that has not been used for almost 30 years now. These large discs of plastic were to be played on a turn tables another technology that is rapidly becoming extinct. What is even better I every album they ever produced on Vinyl in duplicate with one complete set of these records that have never been opened talk about a priceless treasure and NO they are not for sale. Well maybe I would sell them for say five mill but anything less than that I will keep them and allow them to only become more valuable. Got them all on CD as well so I would say I am very much the Led Head. Hell I even have 32 year old T-shirts I bought at the concert in 77.
LED ZEPPELIN IS NOT DEAD. THE BAND WAS THE BEST THEN AND THE BAND IS STILL THE BEST THERE HAS EVER BEEN OR EVER WILL BE!!!!!!!!!!!! PERIOD!!

1977, Ft Worth TX, 4th row, floor, seat 26. Ticket price, $21.50
Seeing the pictures of Jimmy with his trusty collectors edition Gold Les Paul brings back some pretty fond memories.
You can’t just state that Led Zepplin was the greatest rock band and capture the essence of driving around with friends, tuning up, and listening to “The Rover”. It’s was an unforgetteable time. It’s sad that people born in the 80s may never get it, but it’s great to see my 18 year old son knocking out Zeppelin tunes on his Fender, walking in and seeing him watching old Zep footage on Youtube, and hearing him say ” Dad… These guys friggin rock”.
This review was very well done and captured the essence of the Led Zeppelin I will always remember.
And Jimmy, ya did it right dude. I will always argue the fact that you were one of the , if not the best axe men of all time.
Long Live Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Robin Trower, Ted Nugent, Angus Young, Eddie Van Halen, Chet Atkins, Les Paul, Junior Brown, Roy Clark, Tony Iommi, and Alex Lifeson. These are the worlds best.
PS, yes, I left off Hendrix. The above mentioned could actually pick. Hendrix couldn’t pick his nose compared to these guys.
brian | 6/2/2009, 8:29 pm EST
Saw them in Glasgow & london(’71&’74). Best rock/blues band ever. Saw Hendrix, Stones & the Who, etc. Zeppelin blew them all away!
