
- VH1 Classic’s holiday gift to their loyal viewers this year will be “KISSmas,” a twenty-four-hour marathon devoted to KISS, KISS and only KISS. Our TiVos are liable to explode with the overload of concerts, specials and interviews. Will they air the cinematic classic KISS Meets the Phantom in the Park? - Ashlee Simpson is incorporating three things we thought we’d never associate with her — Salvador Dali, surrealism and Being John Malkovich — into the video for her Timbaland-produced single “Out of My Head (Ay Ya Ya),” the first track off her new album, due in March.
- New TV series Live from the Artists Den will take the artist offstage and have them perform in places as eclectic as a synagogue, a farm and a museum. The show, which will air on Ovation TV starting January 13th, features performances by KT Tunstall, Crowded House, Fountains of Wayne and more.
- In response to the documentary Tupac: Assassination - Conspiracy or Revenge? that alleged he and Suge Knight had a hand in the death of Tupac Shakur, former Death Row Records head of security Reggie Wright Jr. has accepted a $100,000 challenge to take a lie-detector test to prove his innocence.
- Taking a page from the Journey playbook, Babyshambles used a fan as a stand-in for the ill Pete Doherty for their appearance at the NME Awards.
