- The White Stripes have unveiled the much-anticipated video for “Conquest,” which features Jack White playing the role of a cocky bullfighter. The video plays with the song’s lyrics of “hunter became the prey,” only replacing the song’s man/woman relationship with the more bestial man/bull. Still, White does a remarkable job of looking like an actual matador (he’s far more convincing than that guy in Madonna’s “Take a Bow” video). Is that a smile on Meg’s face as Jack lays injured on the ground? You decide.
