Snoop Dogg will drop his new album, dubbed Ego Trippin’, like it’s hot in March 2008. It will be the LBC MC’s ninth album, and first since 2006’s Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. The first single from the album, “Sensual Seduction,” features the D-O-double-G pulling double duties rapping and singing, although the amount of Auto-Tune on Snoop’s voice makes him sound like an android Chris Brown (Listen to the track here, when it was going under the more-offensive title “Sexual Eruption,” to judge whether Snoop is as skilled as Diddy and Eve, who have also decided to test out their pipes on recent efforts). The video, which by the miracle of digital technology features Snoop teleporting back to the 1980s to get his shizzle on with video vixens like Vanity 6 and the Mary Jane Girls, will premiere this Wednesday on TRL during MTV’s Spankin’ New Music week (a.k.a. Spankin’ New Lyrics week!) And don’t forget about the Dogg’s new foray onto the small screen: He’ll be channeling Ozzy Osbourne for his E! reality show Father Hood, which premieres December 9th.
